WE challenge 50 grads from each of 50 graduating classes to join us to support opportunities in the Lakewood Schools! The public education funding landscape has changed over the years and state and local budgets no longer cover the same opportunities that were provided to many of us. However, the experience and feelings that Lakewood kids have about their school are pretty similar to ours. As one of our seniors recently stated, “The experience I had with Lakewood High is indescribable— it is nearly impossible to sum up all the many ways Lakewood High has changed me. There is so much I could say about the wonderful teachers, incredible student body, the countless amount of opportunities, and most importantly, the lessons I have learned from all of it.” Your 50 FROM 50 gift will go towards supporting creativity and STEAM in our new Ranger Hub maker space, providing instruments and music lessons to aspiring musicians, training for athletes, competitions for our academic stars, grants for our superb faculty to do more, and scholarships for our graduating seniors as they leave us to make their mark on the world, just as we did.
Won’t you be one of the 50 from your class to help us reach our goal? TO MAKE YOUR GIFT, go to and click on the SUPPORT LREF button on the top right of the page! Lakewood has been known for its excellence in public education for generations. LREF provides support and opportunities that enrich the educational experience of each and every student in the Lakewood Public Schools and assists Lakewood Alumni in maintaining their connections to their classmates and their Alma Mater. The Lakewood High School Class of 1978 donated a $1000 gift to the Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation from the class. The donation will be used to support programs for current Lakewood City School students through classroom grants, support of music and athletic programs and special needs as they arise. Information about LREF can be found at.
LREF also helps to publicize class reunions and conducts the tours of the high school for returning classes. We wish to thank our classmates.
This generous donation wouldn't have been possible without your attendance at our class reunion!. Would you also please update your profile information to your profiles.
